Adolescent Therapy

Adolescence is a period of significant emotional, social, and developmental change. Sheri helps teens to find their own path toward adulthood, while assisting them with academics, peer and family pressures. Finding their own identity is an important part of this developmental stage.

Adolescent therapy is designed for teens navigating emotional, social, academic, and developmental challenges. Sheri does not provide therapy for young children.

Parents/caregivers are invited to the first session. All subsequent sessions typically take place with the adolescent alone. The adolescent needs a private and confidential environment where they can feel heard and understood. Confidentiality will only be broken if the teen is going to be a danger to themselves or others.

Common concerns include anxiety, mood changes, school stress, peer relationships, family conflict, self-esteem, and difficulty managing emotions. Therapy provides a supportive space to build resilience and coping skills.
